Greg and I are both getting tattoos on his birthday in May. I’m going to get a portrait of my grandmother. The only question is where am I going to put it?

buying a house
Buying a house? what? Well, my friend told me about a house for sale across the street from her. It’s 50k less than the houses near it because it was forclosed upon (which makes me sad). Honestly, I have never had it in my mind that I could buy a house. It was always more like a thought that I “should.” I’ve had times when my credit was awful. When we moved into this apartment apparently it was better than ever and the landlord wondered why we were renting. Greg’s got accessible income but credited affected by his divorce. So it will be me doing the buying, if I can. I submitted an application and will need to meet with the broker. We want to get the tax credit if we buy before April 30th.

boring update
I took yesterday off because Tues. I was at court until almost 9pm. I was the last person to testify. Now I feel disoriented like it was the weekend. So I have a very full day of clients today. There is a 25% no show rate that I can hopefully count on. I also have clients scheduled Friday, which is unusual and then I have my Coda mtg. Greg gets back Sat. night. I have an appointment with a gal I supervise Sat. morning and with my new sponsor Sat. afternoon. Oh, and I’m taking Monday off! (well, except for 2 clients)
I started back on my food plan this week. My starting weight is 179. My goal weight is 160-165. I showed Greg the plan and he’s on board with cooking for it. It’s easy now that I decided it’s what I’m going to do.
Coco is purring on my lap, making it hard to type. She is so cute.

Jerry Garcia Ties
Yesterday I felt like my frontal cortex was just not working. I’ve been headachey all week and weekend. I wonder if it’s pollen from budding trees? Or it could be wedding stress, I suppose. But I’ve been pretty happy about the planning process. We went to the burbs to buy the wedding ties and found some Jerry Garcia ones. We also looked at Michael’s crafts and confirmed that we are not going with silk arrangements. We had a lot of fun together as we always do, except at the thai food restaurant; that was just surreal, heh. This week I will be at court again for a couple days, but I learned from the last experience and just rescheduled all my clients for those two days to Friday, etc. I’m also taking next Monday off to make up for a training I’d been to awhile back. Greg is going out of town a few days this week. I need to get together with one of my bridesmaids and hem her dress. So far they are all fitting perfectly. I think I will let them each wear a different style of shoe, but in white.

The Year Ahead Tarot Reading
The Year Ahead
Card 1 (Wheel Of Fortune) : January 2010 »
One of life’s great challenges, is to accept that there are times, when whatever we do to try and influence people or events, we simply cannot alter the way things will turn out. Fate has it’s hand to play!
The Wheel of Fortune suggests a change of fortune, so if preceding cards have been challenging, this month things should start working in your favor.
On the flip-side, if your previous months have been positive, you may experience some challenges or set-backs this month.
Life isn’t all joy, but it isn’t all sorrow either, it’s in a constant state of change – the wheel keeps turning.
Card 2 (Queen of Wands) : February 2010 »
When the Queen of Wands appears, she is suggesting you’re being too shy or introverted when it comes to expressing your true thoughts and feelings.
There may be issues this month at work, or in your private life, that make you feel a little more anxious than usual. Holding everything inside, and letting your emotions build up, is not a good idea.
If you have suspicions about something or someone, or thoughts and feelings you are simply bursting to express, you will find it a good time to go ahead and speak out this month.
Card 3 (4 of Cups) : March 2010 »
Apathy, dissatisfaction, and a lack of fulfillment may make this month feel like a year!! You may find yourself in a situation, where you are getting no joy or satisfaction, yet at the same time cannot motivate yourself to do anything about it.
You may spend more time than usual talking about your problems and feelings with friends, and unfortunately, nothing they can say will make you feel any better.
When the 4 of Cups appears, it is saying you are in ‘limbo land’, a place where nothing feels great, where you feel neutral about everything, yet you are unable to see a way forward.
What’s needed this month is a change in attitude, to wake yourself up and come to a decision one way or another. Start to take action to create positive changes.
Card 4 (10 of Wands) : April 2010 »
You may need to watch your stress levels this month, as the 10 of Wands suggests a time of unusual pressure and burden.
Perhaps you need to delegate more at work or ask for some time off from the kids!
If you’ve been given extra responsibilities without extra pay, for example, you may find yourself feeling very unappreciated and undervalued this month.
Do only as much as you can. Delegate or reschedule the rest, find some time for yourself, and you will manage to deal with the pressure.
Card 5 (5 of Swords) : May 2010 »
It’s no good banging your head against a brick wall! This month you may just have to come to terms with the fact that, sometimes, however hard we try, we can’t win.
The 5 of Swords augurs defeat, and the need to accept it, even if it’s upsetting or disappointing.
Quite often, when we persist in trying to make something work, despite all the evidence demonstrating our efforts to be futile, we only dig ourselves into further trouble.
This month could well be a hard lesson in knowing when to let go or give up, and move on to someone or something new.
Card 6 (Strength) : June 2010 »
Physical strength is one thing, but what’s needed at this time is emotional and mental strength. This month, you will need to focus on your own inner strength and courage, to cope with events.
There won’t be anything you can’t handle, but don’t be afraid to request moral or emotional support if you feel you need it. It is not weakness to admit that you need help and ask for it.
Your fears and insecurities may get a hold of you at this time, but if you can move through them and understand that most of your fears are just illusions, The Strength card suggests you will find the self belief and resolve to press ahead with your dreams and aspirations.
Card 7 (3 of Swords) : July 2010 »
Every now and then, we face a time that is truly challenging emotionally, and this month could well be one of those times.
Perhaps there will be disappointments and heartache associated with your love life or family, or perhaps challenges financially and at work.
The 3 of Swords presents a potentially tough time, yet if you ask for help, or reassuring comfort and love from friends and family, you will weather this storm.
Card 8 (3 of Wands) : August 2010 »
This month could be a great month for you. The 3 of Wands is a good luck omen.
Relationships, in both your personal and working life look promising, and you should be having fun being a ‘busy bee’.
Any new project, job, or relationship, may well show early signs of success, and if marriage has been on your mind, or the subject of discussion, this could be the month the question is popped!
If the month doesn’t meet your expectations, just be patient. The vibes are good, so give things a little more time.
Card 9 (Death) : September 2010 »
Inevitably, there are times when sweeping change is thrust upon us, and these times can be very challenging indeed. This month will be a transformational time for you.
However, the Death card rarely signifies actual bereavement, and is usually an indication of difficult transition.
It could be that you finally feel ready to make some significant changes in your life, in which case, despite the challenges, you will emerge with a feeling of liberation.
If such events are forced upon you, try to deal with them as best as you can, seek comfort and help, and trust the storm will pass.
Card 10 (The World) : October 2010 »
The World heralds the arrival of your heart’s desire, so this is a month where you’ll find a new level of fulfillment, joy and completion.
Maybe you’ve been working hard to achieve certain goals, at work or in your business, and if so, you’ll start to see the rewards for your efforts.
Perhaps you’ll decide to broaden your horizons, travel overseas, or plan such travel. The world is your oyster, and this month you’ll feel like you can take on the world and win!
If you don’t experience the success you want, be patient, this month will take you a step or two closer. There may be the odd delay, but the positive aspect of this card will come into play soon enough.
Card 11 (The Hermit) : November 2010 »
You may feel isolated or lonely this month. Perhaps you’ve been on your own for a while, and for some reason your loneliness seems a little harder to bare. Perhaps you feel isolated in a current relationship and don’t know what to do about it.
When The Hermit appears, it is suggesting patience is needed. This is not a month to be making hasty or impetuous decisions.
This is a time when solitude will work for you. A time for peace and quiet, to contemplate what you really want, and to think of creative ways to deal with your current problems.
You may look at keeping yourself busy, either through work or a busy social life, but this won’t banish the feelings of emptiness.
Try to spend time on your own, facing the unsettling feelings. With patience, the answers will come, and your feelings of loneliness will begin to subside.
Card 12 (4 of Pentacles) : December 2010 »
It looks like all your hard work and effort at work or in your business, as well as your prudent financial planning, could really start to pay off this month.
There will be a greater sense of achievement and reward, and you’ll feel stable and secure within your current circumstances.
If you find you’re not experiencing these feelings by now, the 4 of Pentacles suggests that you focus, this month, on finding ways to establish yourself more financially and materially.
